The Metricool alternative that doesn't ration your posts

Metricool's free plan allows 20 posts a month and blocks LinkedIn and X entirely.

Analytics-led scheduler with strong ads reporting — and a very thin free tier. Below is an honest side-by-side — including the cases where Metricool is the better choice.

When Metricool is the better choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than churn out of ours in a month. These are real reasons to choose Metricool.

  • Metricool's analytics are deeper than ours, and their ads reporting across Meta, Google and TikTok Ads is something we do not do at all. If you run paid campaigns alongside organic, that is a real reason to choose them.
  • Competitor analysis — tracking rival profiles — is built in on every tier, including free. We have nothing equivalent.
  • They also ship an MCP server, so the AI-agent workflow is not unique to us.

Where we win

Every line here is checkable against the pricing pages linked above.

  • Unlimited scheduled posts on free, against their 20 per month.
  • LinkedIn and X work on our free plan; on Metricool free they are not available at all.
  • Five channels on free rather than a single brand.

Built for people who post video

Most schedulers, Metricool included, treat a Reel as a file to upload. The difference shows up the first time a post fails at 6am.

It checks your clip before it queues.

Duration, file size and aspect ratio are validated against each platform's rules. A clip that is too long is a blocking error; the wrong aspect ratio is a warning. You find out before the post fails, not after.

One composer, every channel.

Write once, adapt per platform, and queue it all from a single calendar. Analytics come back into the same view — including best-time-to-post, once you have published enough history for it to mean anything.

Your AI agent can draft, but not publish.

Connect Claude or any MCP client on the free plan — 67 tools, including timeline editing. Publishing is preview-then-confirm: an agent proposes a post and it only goes out when you confirm.

Questions people actually ask

Does Metricool have an MCP server?

Yes — Metricool ships an official MCP server and it is available on their free tier. We do not claim to be the only scheduler with MCP. Our difference is the tool set: ours includes timeline-editing tools, and publishing requires an explicit confirm.

Why does Metricool exclude LinkedIn and X on free?

They do not publish a reason; API access to both networks is expensive, which is the usual cause. Both are available on our free plan.

Which has better analytics?

Metricool, honestly. They offer competitor tracking and paid-ads reporting we do not have. We cover cross-platform dashboards, per-post history and best-time-to-post from your own published history.
